Skin Stress!?!?!???

Are you stressing over your skin? Dry, Oily, Dehydrated, Dull, Breakouts??? No fuss... I can help! Here are a few tips and quick fixes to help a sister out!

DRY- You're constantly slathering heavy creams on your face, and nothing is helping... your skin feels tight and rough... looks dull and lifeless... you go to put on your make-up and it has no glow...

What you need :

A major exfoliation- I treat dry skin almost every single day and the first step to getting you hydrated, super smooth, and glowing is getting all that dull dead skin off! I love exfoliation and am not afraid to go for it! Depending on how dry your skin is I like to use multiple layers, a scrub, an enzyme, an acid, a clarisonic ... sounds crazy I know but you are moments away from silky smooth, glowing skin!

1. Cleanse skin with a creamy cleanser, foaming will dry your already dry skin out even more. Leave cleanser on for next step...

My favorite CLEANSERS for DRY skin: Epicuren Apricot Cleanser, Epicuren Milk Cleanser, & Rhonda Allison Milk Cleanser.

2. Apply a gritty scrub to start polishing your dry skin. Massage all over in circular motions. Rinse away all products, pat dry...

My favorite SCRUBS for DRY skin: Epicuren Microderm Scrub, Epicuren Apricot Scrub, & Epicuren Vanilla Brown Sugar scrub.

3. Now the fun part your exfoliating mask to munch away all that dead skin! Apply your mask (enzyme, acid) all over skin like a mask. You can apply with a new foundation brush or your fingers. Leave this mask on for 10-15 min. Don't rinse just yet...

My favorite EXFOLIANTS for DRY skin: Epicuren Pumpkin Apple Spice,& Cosmedix Pure Enzyme.

4. Before rinsing away I love to get my clarisonic brush wet and use all over my face with the mask on to help exfoliate even more and remove the mask. Now you can rinse away!

5. Your skin should feel so smooth and soft already, it may be a lil' pink or rosey that is a good sign of blood flow, circulation and stimulation so no need to panic you're skin is feeling alive!

6. Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize! Now that we've broken down that top layer of dead dull skin you will be able to actually absorb your products! I love to apply a serum first then a nice rich moisturizer to push in serum and lock in moisture.

My favorite SERUMS for DRY skin:  Epicuren Bulgarian Rose Otto, & G.M. Collin Phyto Stem Cell Serum.

My favorite MOISTURIZERS for DRY skin: Epicuren Hydro Moisture Plus & G.M. Collin Phyto Stem Cell Cream.

OILY- You just need balance! Afraid to put moisturizers on because your skin is a oil factory?!? I get it, I understand! Have no fear we just need to control and balance your bodies natural oil.

1. Cleanse your skin with a nice foaming, invigorating cleanser. I love to use a foaming cleanser that lathers really well and has glycolic or salicylic acid to break down oil and blackheads,  and purify your pores to get them squeaky clean!

My favorite CLEANSERS for OILY skin: Epicuren Gelle Cleanser, & Cosmedix Purity Clean

2. Apply a nice scrub to deep clean and polish your skin. Massage all over face in circular motions. Use you clarisonic along with the cleanser and scrub combo for a deeper more thorough exfoliation.

My favorite EXFOLIANTS for OILY skin: Cosmedix Purity Detox Scrub, & Epicuren Microderm Scrub.

3. Balance your skin with a nice refreshing toner, or astringent. Apply all over your face using a cotton pad, some toners are available as remoistened treating pads.

My favorite TONERS for OILY skin: Epicuren Clarify Toner, G.M. Collin Acne Complex Toner with TeaTree Oil, Cosmedix Purity Balance, & Glycolix 10-2 pads.

4. Mask or Peel time your choice, both highly effective! You need a detoxing, oil pulling mask, like a clay, or charcoal mask to help clarify your skin. Apply with a new foundation brush or your fingers. Leave mask on for atleast 20 min.

DEHYDRATED- you're dry, you're oily, everything you put onto your skin, it sucks up immediately! Your skin is lacking water! It may look scaley, flakey, or show tiny dehydration lines around eyes and forehead.

Dehydrated skin can and will occur to any skin type. Select a cleanser, toner, mask best for you. Apply just like the other steps listed above.

1. You need water!! Yes lots!! Drink up!! Natural coconut water is amazing for internal hydration! Stay away from alcohol, tea, and sodas ... they will dehydrate you even more!

1. After skin is clean, exfoliated and prepped for moisturizer first apply a serum then follow with a luxurious hydrating moisturizer.
